PERBANDINGAN PERLAKUAN T6 DAN TEMPERING CASE HARDENING ALUMINIUM 7075 TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK

چکیده

ABSTRAK Aluminium merupakan logam yang paling banyak digunakan setelah baja, dengan karakteristik utamanya adalah ringan (berat jenis = 2.7 g/cm3), memiliki konduktivitas panas dan listrik tinggi, ketahanan korosi baik. Penggunaan aluminium menempati urutan kedua besi baja sebagai bahan untuk komponen industri otomotif, salah satu penggunaanya yaitu berupa pada mobil. seri 7075 mana sifat baik kekuatan tinggi dibandingkan paduan lainnya. dapat diberikan perlakuan panas, tempering case hardening, tersebut meningkatkan mekanik 7075. Metode proses hardening (TCH) T6, variasi suhu solution heat treatment (SHT) 3500C, 4000C, 4000C 5000C. Proses T6 tahapannya: a). Pemanasan SHT (350 - 5000C), b). Quenching, c). Tempering (dengan 1200C selama 2 hari). Sedangkan temper dilakukan metode pack carburizing. Pengujian yaitu: uji kekerasan vickers, tarik, struktur mikro xrd, hasil menunjukkan TCH didapatkan tarik terbesar 500 0C kekerasannya 182.5 171 VHN, tariknya 613.3 618.3 MPa. Kata kunci: 7075, Case Hardening, Kekerasan Vickers, Kekuatan Tarik.
